Each year Canadians consume approximately 52 billion servings of fresh fruits and vegetables. That’s a lot of produce!

Not only are many fruits and veggies easy to eat on the go, but eating a variety of different fruits and vegetables of different colours gives your body a great array of valuable nutrients, such as fiber, folate, potassium and vitamins A and C.

In Ontario we’re fortunate enough to have a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables grown and available throughout the year, with the summer months being the prime time to enjoy corn on the cob, field tomatoes, lettuce, spinach, eggplant, cauliflower, radishes and so much more.

When vegetables aren’t in season, Ontarians are still able to enjoy many of their favourite veggies grown in greenhouses, while out-of-season fruits and some vegetables are imported from warmer climates.

Each day, our produce manager travels to the Food Terminal at the crack of dawn to select the best, freshest produce for our store. Whether grown in Ontario, or shipped in from other parts of the world, at Weston Produce we guarantee we’ll have the widest selection of fresh produce that you’ll be happy to serve your family.
